Botnsdalur Valley is home to an exceptional abundance of trees, a rare sight in Iceland. While predominantly made up of native birch forests, it also includes a mix of non-native species. In the fall, the valley transforms into a vibrant tapestry of colors, offering a stunning visual spectacle.

Where Nature Meets Luxury: Our Hvalfjörður Hotel and Retreat
Our first project is set in the breathtaking “whale fjord,” Hvalfjörður, less than an hour’s drive from Reykjavik. Here, we are building something truly special: a 4-star, 32-room hotel, natural hot springs, and 25 round hotel cabins that can rotate with the sun. Spanning 12.1 hectares, this location invites you to experience the magic of Iceland in a way that touches your soul.

Our approach to sustainability exceeds conventional standards:

    • Filtered river water is used for cleaning and flushing, minimizing waste.
    • Black and grey water are separated, treated, and reused wherever possible.

Our hot springs employ reheating and chemical-free water treatment, paired with real-time water quality monitoring. This ensures the purest water, the lowest energy consumption, and practices that far surpass local standards.

artist impression of siteThe Municipality of Hvalfjarðarsveit has agreed to amend the master zoning plan to accommodate our project, while ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and environmental standards in Iceland. We have engaged the consulting firm EFLA to develop the updated master plan and the necessary local zoning plan. Our proposal for the revised master plan was submitted to the municipality on November 15, 2024, and will soon be made available for review by all stakeholders.
